What personal data this website collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it.
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Plain summary. We collect what you send us through the contact form, we keep basic anonymous visit statistics, and we do not sell your data or run advertising trackers.
1. Who is responsible
[YOUR REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME], trading as Build Right Studios, based in [YOUR COUNTRY], is the data controller for this website. Contact us at aaronwilliams.ja@gmail.com about anything on this page, including a request to access or delete your data.
2. What we collect
2.1 Contact form
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, the query type you chose, your message and your IP address. The IP address is recorded to limit spam and abuse.
2.2 Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used for security and troubleshooting.
2.3 Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not track you across other websites and does not build a profile of you.
2.4 What we do not collect
We do not collect payment details on this website. Purchases are handled by Tebex, which acts as the merchant of record and processes your payment on its own systems. We never see your card details.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and quote for work — because you asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interest to run our business.
- To prevent spam and abuse — our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest, and our legal obligations where they apply.
- To carry out work you commission — to perform our contract with you.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors that handle data on our behalf:
- Discord — contact form submissions are delivered to a private staff channel in our Discord server through a webhook.
- Our hosting provider — serves this website and runs the contact endpoint.
- Our email provider — used to reply to you, and to send you an automatic acknowledgement.
- Tebex — handles store purchases as merchant of record, under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our Discord channel and email for as long as they are commercially useful, and we remove enquiries that did not become projects within 24 months. Project records, including invoices, are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email aaronwilliams.ja@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics work without them. Your browser may still store technical data needed to display the site. If we add anything that requires consent, we will ask first.
8. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed, and material changes will be noted on this page.
Note for the site owner: this is a starting template, not legal advice. Fill in the business name and country in src/config.ts, keep the analytics and email sections accurate for the tools you actually use, and have a lawyer review it.
