The problem
Large communities get raided in bursts: dozens of accounts join and spam within seconds. Rule sets that work for one server cause false positives in another, and a single-process bot cannot keep up once it is in thousands of guilds.
What we built
- 01Built heuristic raid detection around join patterns rather than fixed thresholds, so a quiet server and a busy one are judged on their own baselines.
- 02Gave every server its own rule engine, so moderators tune sensitivity without affecting anyone else.
- 03Added an appeal workflow, so wrongly caught members have a route back in without a moderator digging through logs.
- 04Deployed it sharded with monitoring and zero-downtime rollouts, so updates ship without the bot going offline.
